My mom made a huge difference in my life. I fell pregnant at the age of 18 when I was doing my Matric. I had big dreams but they began to fade away fast. She supported me and I began to see that my life and my dreams weren’t over.

I enjoyed every moment of my pregnancy, just because she was there for me. She cooked for me every day and made sure I was comfortable.

As I was doing Matric it was hard and painful but she was the one who made me strong. She was my motivator, mentor, and everything to me.

Then at the end of the year, when I was writing exams, she was the one who was with me when I was studying late at night.

At the end of the year I made her very proud because I passed my Grade 12 and I gave birth to a pretty, cute, baby girl who I called Uyanthandwa Pona.

My mom is the one who made me who I am today. She believed in my dreams. I love her so much and appreciate everything that she has done for me.
