What is faith? Faith is the substance of believing in the things not seen. To have faith is to be sure of the things we hoped for and to be certain of things we cannot see. It is by faith that we understand that God created the universe through the word so that what cannot be seen, can be seen. Believing, without questioning God’s ability to do so.

Who do you have faith in? We are put right with God through faith. God’s promises are received through faith. If we were given promises through obeying the law then faith would be worthless.

Faith and doubt do not work together. If you doubt, your faith will be destroyed and never grow. We are brought into the experience of God’s grace through our faith in God. If you believe Jesus did a great perfect sacrifice on the cross, then you have faith.

A lot of people won by their faith: Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Joseph, Moses, Gideon, Samuel, Samson, Jephthah, and David. Yet these people did not receive what God promised them. God has decided to an even better plan for us.

Doubt is the only factor that affects our faith. It is a weapon which destroys faith. You need to hold firm to God’s hope. Believe when you pray for something, do not doubt at all. It is said, “Doubts are like a wave in a sea driven and blown by the window.”

We need to hope and trust God to make our faith grow. God has shown his love for us through Christ who died on the cross. As it is said, “By his stripes we are saved.” We are God’s friends and not his enemies by faith. Abraham was accepted by God because of his faith as being highly righteous. Only those who are put right by faith shall live. It is not a law and law doesn’t have to do anything with the faith.

God’s promises were upon Abraham and his descendants, but it’s by faith that his promises will be by the means of Jesus Christ. By confessing Jesus is the LORD, it’s the first level of faith. When you are baptised, you are buried with Christ. In baptism, we are raised with Christ through faith in the active power of God, who raised him from the dead.

By living by faith, we cannot be discouraged even though our physical being is decaying, because our spiritual being is renewed day after day. And this small temporary trouble we suffer now will bring us a tremendous and eternal glory, much greater than the trouble. We fix our attention to things not seen and not on things that are seen. Things which we see last, but what cannot be seen lasts forever.

Our life is in a matter of faith and not sight. This is when we have the desire of hoping to be in heaven with Christ. I am talking about our spirit in the body of Christ and appearing before Christ and being judged by Him. We will each receive what we deserve, according to everything we have done, good and bad, in our bodily life.

Believing and hoping in possessing rich blessings that God keeps safe for you, where they do not rust or die. It is by faith that God kept them safe by his power for the salvation, which is ready to be revealed at the end of time.

When we live in union with Christ, we must keep our roots deep in Him and build our life on him to make our faith stronger as we are taught. What good is it for people to say that they have faith if their actions do not prove it? Faith without action is dead. That kind of faith cannot be saved because it is lifeless and useless. Faith will be perfect only with actions done. What am I saying here? To show your faith, to have the spiritual fruits in you, that is giving, helping, caring, good being, loving, patient, and obeying God. These actions must be done out of the goodness of your heart and righteousness.

We give out of faith, we help out of faith, we are good to others out of faith, we confess Jesus is Lord – through faith. In act of this, there are rewards waiting for you at the right time.

Faith is charged by studying the word; having a desire to grow your faith. Faith is beyond talking. With faith, you possess good ideas. Faith does a lot of things including leading you to the supernatural power and light.

The man who had a dreaded disease knelt down before Jesus and begged him to heal him. This is a step of faith. (Matthew 8 verse 1-4). Jesus had started teaching. It could be led that the man believed and knew Jesus has the power to heal but He didn’t say he is a healer.

Another woman came and fell at his feet, begging Jesus to drive demons out of her daughters. Jesus said, “Let us first feed the children. It isn’t right to take the children’s food and throw it to the dogs.” The woman, with her faith, persisted that the dogs can eat the leftovers and crumbs that fell on the ground. Jesus saw the woman’s faith and her wish was done.

(Mark 7 verse 24-30, Matthew 15 verse 21-28)

Jesus was going to raise Jairus’ daughter, a woman who suffered from severe bleeding for twelve years, came behind Jesus and touched the edge of his cloak. She believed if she touched him, she will get well. She knew there was power in Jesus even on his cloak. (Matthew 9 verse 20-22).

The Roman Officer sent Jewish elders to Jesus so he could heal his servant. While Jesus went on the way, he sent friends to say “He doesn’t deserve to have Jesus in his house and he is not worthy to come to him in person but just give an order to make his servant well.” Jesus said, “I tell you, I have never found faith like this, not even in Israel.” (Luke 7 verse 1-10)

The incident at the pool, where Jesus had pity on a man who had been ill for 38 years, and asked if he wanted to be well. He said he has no one who can put him in the pool, someone gets in it first. Jesus ordered him to get up and pick his mat and walk. The man became well and he picked up his mat and walked. (John 5 verse 1-8). The man believed if he got in the pool first, he would be healed but Jesus wanted him to know that he is the healer.

The people who had diseases; the blind, the lame, and the possessed demons called upon him to get healed. They could be seen by their faith, that’s why they got healed.

As a matter of fact, people sort of believe in all sorts of things, and what they believe in always happen. Believe in God and see his promises and rewards he has in store for you.

It’s time for you to take a step of faith and see the invincible.
