I would have loved to experience the joy of having a father, but as much as it pains me, I’m used to it. Having a father figure in my life would bring me joy. I also want to brag about my dad.
Being daddy’s little girl, you know that at least someone is protective about you, loves and cares about you. He would make sure I got dressed, went to school and ate three meals or more per day, and would do anything to see me happy. But the person I was supposed to call my father took off. Does he sometimes ask himself if his daughter went to bed with a full stomach? I just think he’s selfish. How could you leave an innocent child who didn’t even do you wrong?

People are telling me that he is a good person, but if he was, why did he run away from me? I guess people were too quick to tell me how good he was, but they don’t know that he left an innocent child who knew nothing, but who just needed father to daughter love. That’s why they say: “Don’t judge a book by its cover”. You’ll never know what they have in store for you.

Gosh! My mother… how ironic, huh? She’s been strong for us, she never ran away from me, she served me all the above mentioned requirements.

I love her so much. I don’t know what I would do if I lost her. She’s the only person I can rely on actually, yet she’s the one I give headaches most of the time. I fight with her, get mad at her, but then we both come to a conclusion. We found a way to have peace within ourselves. The poor woman doesn’t have much but she’s trying and she keeps on trying. She never gives up on us. Wow, mommy, you’re my hero.
So they thought mommy wouldn’t raise me without a father figure? Well here I am. I’m now a woman who knows what she wants. I may not have grown up with a father, but my mother was always by my side. I’m not saying mommy is perfect, but at least she didn’t run away. She took her responsibility seriously.

If it wasn’t for mommy, where would I be in life? Maybe I would be roaming the streets, not knowing what I wanted in life, doing illegal things, but I’ve learned that there’s nothing more important in life than a mother’s love.
A woman brought me into this world, so I have no right to disrespect one. My mother was always there for me when no one else was. My mother was judged because of what my unknown father did, but she’s still strong. She’s the kind of woman who won’t let anyone bring her down because she knows her worth. People were telling my mother that she couldn’t raise a child without a father, but yes, she proved them wrong. Don’t judge a book by its cover.
