He would invite me to his place and I would go for weekend sleepovers because I was in love. We would do this once per month, but the other night my phone rang and it was a guy I didn’t even know, it was probably the wrong number.

My boyfriend got mad and asked, “Who was it?”

“I don’t know,” I said.

“Don’t lie. Who was it?” he asked again.

“I don’t know,” I said again.

He got annoyed and kicked me just below my abdomen. I stumbled back and almost fell, but I grabbed the chest of drawers for balance. He didn’t stop though, he came closer and he pushed me down. He took out his belt and he tied my hands, he kept on kicking my abdomen over and over again. When he realised I was crying he stopped and looked at me then he laughed a little. He took off my pants and underwear and went to the bathroom. He came back with a bottle of water and said I should stretch my legs for him and I did. He started pouring hot water on my private area. I couldn’t even feel my body at that moment and I knew if I were to let him continue I was going to die.

When he was done pouring the water he helped me stand up then he was like, “You love to make me do things I don’t wanna do, look at yourself.”

I just looked at him trying to process what just happened. He then asked if it hurts down there and I said yes. He told me to take a nap. The moment he walked out of the door I got dressed as fast as I could because my lower part was burning. I took my phone, called an Uber and it arrived a few minutes later.

As I made my way out the Uber guy saw I was struggling to walk. He opened the door and helped me enter the car. As soon as the door closed I saw my monster boyfriend, the man I love more than anything. I used my purse to hide myself and it worked. He didn’t notice me. The driver kept asking what was wrong. I just stared outside the window and cried because of the pain I was feeling. The worst part was I still loved him, I wanted him to hold me and tell me he didn’t mean to hurt me.
