When I was young I would stare at my grandmother’s mirror and see an impure human in me. I would follow the bumps on face wondering why pimples grew on me only. Wondering why I was uglier than the rest of the kids I knew.

Now I am mature enough to understand that beauty lies in the inside not on the out. What I give and show to the world is my beauty and I define that.

Someday I will be able let my inner beauty shine through – besides having rough skin. I will be able to show the world that we make and break ourselves, we choose how to see ourselves and I am not bad.
