Anga sits beside Anela. Confusion is tattooed across his face.

“What is that supposed to mean? You love talking in riddles and I hate it ‘cause I can’t understand you.

“I hate this,” Anga says.

“Hate what? Could you for once say something that makes sense without me having to crack my brain for an obvious answer? Just once.” Anelisa tucks in her coat.

“I hate the fact that it has come to this, I hate how far we’ve gone to where we are. We just don’t deserve it, we never earned offering our time to each other. I’ve realised I can’t find myself without you, at the same time I lose myself in your presence. Do you understand how hard it is to find myself and again live in a world not meant for me?” Anga pauses, and continues, “I can’t breathe the same breath as you and yet I can’t breathe without it, do you know why? Because I don’t belong. It kills me to know we can’t hide from each other but still can’t stand each other. You see in this ‘thing’ we’ve got ourselves into, we’re nothing but water. We are there to give life and hope but when it’s too much we cause floods and misery. Sometimes it’s good to watch you drown but hurts to see you cry.”

“Anga, are we meant to be or not?”

Silence wears the atmosphere.
