John 4:4-26

He was waiting for me. He has mighty angels under his command. He created the heavens and the earth with just a spoken word. He is God.

He is all powerful and mighty, yet he waited for me at the well. I was beyond honoured, the Lord of all creation waiting for just me. He is a busy Messiah with the greatest mission in the history of mankind; to save them. Regardless, on this very day He cleared his schedule for me.

Oh, my fellows, what could I have possibly done to deserve to be awaited by the master of the universe?

With a gaze beyond the dust, wondering when I will get to the well, I wanted to fill my pot with water and be on my way back home. When I finally reached the well, I saw a man. There was something divine about this man. I could not express how it felt like being soaked in his presence. He looked at me with such great admiration and without judgment. To him I seemed to be so perfect, without fault, without blame and with no broken pieces. To him I was perfect with no need for fixing.

In his sight I was as beautiful as a flower in spring. In his perspective I was as radiant as a twilight star. In his mind I was as mesmerizing as a spring in the amazon.

He looked at me and said, โ€œEveryone who drinks this water will be thirsty again. But whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.โ€

I knew then that He had waited for me.
