My name is Lisa. My father gave me the name on the 30th of November 2005 around 17:30 at Somerset Hospital. When I was born my mother called the doctor to immediately call my father outside the room. My mother told him, ‘There is your daughter you can name her’. He held me and named me Lisanda. I was a symbol of a growing family.

As much as my parents love my name, my mother calls me Lira out of my name Lisanda, but my father calls me Lisa. I love my name because it makes me unique. It is a rare name – there are only a few people with the same name. Since my name is a symbol of a growing family I want to make sure I follow it and fulfil it. I am Lisanda.
