Whenever it felt like life was being unfair and hard, all I relied on was a wave of thoughts and a pen and paper.
Suddenly, I had a light bulb moment.
I said to myself, “The world will never meet you halfway. If you want something, shut up and burn with passion because words quench the ego. Stand up and do whatever you can to go and get it.”
I felt my strength occupying every muscle in my body and the heavy weight lifted from my heart. I realized I had found hope again. I stopped feeling sorry for myself and wiped my tears and stood up.
You want to know why?
Because I had decided to follow the footsteps of joy. I decided to knock on the doors of success, and I decided to be the author of my own life. Being patient enough to make a fist with my toes and hope for the better wasn’t enough for me. I was disobedient for once, not to wait for some miracle to happen. I made it happen.
