The violence, hate and bitterness; where does it come from? Aren’t we supposed to be united, happy and be proud to call ourselves brothers and sisters? I fail to grasp the logic that we don’t abhor white people as we do our own race; they tricked our forefathers into giving away their cattle, land and all their valuables.

I’m totally fine with being black and know enough about my past to not be arrogant and start hating on everyone in this world. Some of us are ignorant and stupid. YES I said STUPID because that’s how they are! How can you hate on your own siblings? We were born in the same province, continent and guess what; WE ARE ALL AFRICAN! I believe that being an African is not about race but about how you carry yourself, the respect and appreciation for your culture. Do not go around saying “Black is just a colour,” it is not, we are human beings and we deserve to be treated as such.

I have nothing against white people. This is the 21st century where everyone has the right and authority to voice their opinions and visit where they want to go. Our political leaders fought for this freedom therefore we have to appreciate it, walk around with our heads held high and believe in ourselves.

You don’t have to sleep your way to the top; be a woman of stature and standard, respect yourself before anyone else does. Stop looking for reasons to be insulted, you’re black, beautiful and you deserve to be loved. Do not bother yourself with people who don’t want to be part of your life, be yourself and be a PROUD AFRICAN.
